ISIS in Sinai claims attack on Israeli crossing

Cairo, alBawaba – The ‘Islamic State, ISIS’ global terrorist group said it launched two Grad projectiles at Israeli crossing two days ago.
The attack targeted the border crossing al-Awja shared w with Israel with two Grad rockets.
After then, the group accused Israel of conducting multiple airstrikes against it in the northern Sinai peninsula, in a statement issued on its al-Amaq news agency Tuesday.
The Islamic State affiliate in Egypt, known as Sinai Province, published photos on one of its news agencies from the attack on Monday documenting “the bombardment of the Nitzana border crossing on the border with Palestine with two Grad rockets.”
Early on Tuesday, sirens warning of an incoming rocket went off in southern Israel, near the border with Egypt. The military said a rocket launch was detected, but no evidence that a rocket had fallen in Israel was found. Therefore, the army believes that the rocket had exploded on the Egyptian side of the border.
